Is there a real Cult of TV?

As far as we know, there is no official organization or congregation that identifies as the Cult of TV. However, we do understand and feel the spiritual-like love and dedication to TV, thus the inspiration for our podcast. We are not affiliated or associated with any religion, church, or actual cult, nor do we claim to be any such organization. As well, our use of the terms associated with religions or cults and the like in no way condemn or condone those institutions. All of our discussions are just on a secular level of a passionate love for TV.

What is an Emerging TV Writer?

It’s a fancy way of saying a television writer who has yet to break into the TV writing industry, or one who is just getting started and has not yet reached the career level they aspire to in television writing. Some are already in the industry, but in different jobs. Some are working in completely other fields, supporting themselves and/or their families until they get their big break. Just because they are emerging, doesn’t mean they don’t work at writing. Emerging writers write. They write specs, pilots, shorts, and webseries. They write log lines, pitch decks, and synopses. They write, rewrite, and write again. Some write by night, some write by day. Not to mention, they network, job search, read scripts, give notes, take notes, attend classes, form writers groups, even do podcasts. Then, they write some more. We are a busy folk.
